Chef Shuffle

-Chef Jason Pena has departed Specialty Restaurant Group and has taken the reigns at Waterfalls at the Atrium Hotel.

-Chef Thomas Ryan has relocated. He resigned his position with Pelican Grill and has taken over the helm at Big Canyon Country Club.

-Yves Fournier is anxiously awaiting the opening of Andréi’s in the City of Irvine. Chef has been with Hyatt Hotels for quite some time; First in Irvine at 6ix Park Grill and then as Executive Sous at the Hyatt Newport Beach.

- Chef Joseph Gotti previously of Patina’s Naples at Downtown Disney has taken over the kitchen at Da Vinci in Long Beach. We can’t wait to sample the new menu this month.

-Chef Don Schoenburg supervised the reopening of Leatherby’s Café Rouge last month. I know he’s looking forward to things calming down a bit once all the new menus etc. are instituted. Chef Lulu’s back from France and heating up the kitchen at Pinot Provence.

-Rumor has it that Chef Nick Weber has returned to the Patina group after a short stint with Mor Project at Blanca. Blanca has revamped their menu and now offers Mexican Food.

-ZMario has re-opened as iLounge. We’re still waiting to hear about the new Chef.

-Theo Ioannou has departed Waterfalls at the Atrium Hotel and has taken a Mon - Friday day job at Cedars- Sinai in Los Angeles.
