IS RINGING IN THE 2008 HOLIDAY SEASON IN STYLE
“We are pleased to begin our planning for the 2008 holiday season with the elegant and festive traditions that The Balboa Bay Club and Resort has been known for. We make memories happen year after year. And we are proud to be the only waterfront resort in Newport Beach, so we are center stage, as we all celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Newport Beach Boat Parade. Friends and family are all welcome to join us… celebrating the arrival of the holiday season here at the resort on Monday, December 1st with our Holiday Lighting & Music Ceremony. This will be an Open House from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.”
Holiday Dining at BBCR
-In The First Cabin Dining Room guests can enjoy: Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas Eve Dinner, Christmas Day Dinner and/or New Year’s Eve Dinner. Guests are encouraged to make their reservations early. And of course BBC&R’s New Year’s Eve Gala will be in full swing again this year! A not to be missed “black tie affair” —this includes a reception, an elegant dinner in The Grand Ballroom, dancing to a live band, and a midnight champagne toast.
Resort Lighting Ceremony
-This evening is open to the public and will include music by the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps band, the lighting of close to one million lights, holiday cookies and beverages to celebrate the 2008 Holiday Season. Join BBC&R on Monday, December 1st at 6:00 pm. Guests are encouraged to please bring an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots program.
Holiday Afternoon Tea
-Traditional Tea service will be presented in the Library each afternoon from Dec. 1-23rd (two seatings will be available). Reservations are suggested.
Parade of Lights- The Annual Boat Parade
>From December 17th thru the 21st, the harbor will be sparkling with colorful lights, and excited boat owners and friends all waving to the crowds. We anticipate over 100 boats, all adorned with the 100th Anniversary theme of “100 Years of Christmas Cheer”. Due to the out-pouring of local interest, viewing will be limited to Club Members, and those with resort guest room accommodations, or restaurant reservations in The First Cabin Restaurant. The Parade begins at 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
All American Boys Chorus Concert & Dinner (With a surprise visit from Santa….shhhh!)
Dec. 23rd-Grand Ballroom- Beginning at 6:00 with elegant appetizers, and at 7:00 dinner will be served and followed by a concert. Donations to the local Toys for Tots Program will be encouraged. Reservations are required.
New Year’s Eve Gala
This “Black Tie Gala” event in the Grand Ballroom, including: a reception with butler passed hor d’oeuvres and champagne, an elegant dinner party with a live band and dancing, and at Midnight, a champagne toast to ring in the New Year. The cost is: $215 per person. (Taxes and gratuity are not included and tickets are non-refundable.) Reservations required.
