Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2008
Elegant Style, with lovely boysenberry and raspberry fruit, and plenty of vanilla, spice and chocolate shadings too.

Magdalena Toso 2006
90% Malbec & 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Exhibits a brooding perfume of violets, lavender, mineral, spice box, blueberry, and black cherry. Followed by an opulent wine with tons of flavor, richness, incipient complexity, and ripe tannin.

Limpid and bright, with greenish shades that are reflected in the tenuous yellow of its whole appearance. It is a delicate dry sparkling wine. It is velvety to the mouth and is easy to drink

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Santa Monica’s Northern Italian restaurant will serve a seasonally inspired, multi-course menu, crafted by Executive Chef Gianfranco Minuz

WHAT: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (December 24 and 25, 2011), Locanda del Lago—located on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica—invites friends and families to gather around the table for a holiday-inspired, three- or four- course feast ($55 for three courses; $68 for four courses; not including tax and gratuity). Featuring traditional Italian winter ingredients, such as chestnuts, artichokes, and veal, the specials will be offered alongside an optional wine pairing menu ($25) and a seasonal dessert ($11).

Annual Champagne Dinner – Delius – Signal Hill

It's time once again for our final wine dinner of the year. Our annual Champagne Dinner is the oldest reoccurring event that we put on each year. This year will mark the 16th one in a row that Delius has held under the ownership of Louise and myself but the tradition goes back much further to the previous owners Christine and David Davies who started it in the mid-eighties.
 
Our friend George Pavlov will once again host this special evening and will feature sparkling wine selections from the "Wine Wise" portfolio. Please make your plans and call for reservations as this usually sells out quickly.

Beaujolais Nouveau is a young red wine from handpicked Gamay grapes grown in the Beaujolais region of France, where the beverage accounts for half of the region's production. While most red wines improve with age, Beaujolais Nouveau is all about freshness. Many producers, including regional giant Georges Duboeuf, race to deliver the first of the vintage to celebrations throughout France and the world.
