At LUCCA there’s only one way to the heart – through the stomach. Husband-and-wife team Elliott and Cathy Pavlos have built LUCCA with lots of heart, which means great attention to its seasonal menu, reminiscent of a Euro bistro, complete with an exquisite wine bar. This year, they showcase their offerings through a truly heartwarming Valentine’s Weekend Dinner Tasting Menu on Tuesday, February 14th and every couple dining at LUCCA that night will receive a $25 gift certificate to use at a later date!

The special Valentine’s Dinner Menu courses may be ordered as à la carte specials on Friday, February 10th through Monday, February 13th alongside LUCCA’s regular dinner menu, and on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14, as the only menu for the evening. The expandable menu is $65 per guest for an American 4-course or $71.50 for a European 5-course or $79 for a European 6-course. A full 4-course vegetarian menu is available for guests.

Those who would like wine paired with their meal may add wine pairings, chosen especially for this menu, for $20 per guest, or Elliott’s reserve pairings of premium wines for $35 per guest. All prices exclude tax, gratuity and additional beverages. Vegetarian options are available, as are cheeseboard addition and wine flight upgrades for every course. Reservations are highly recommended and gift certificates will not be accepted for this holiday tasting menu.

(Posted Feb. 2012) Mimi’s Cafe Goes Red. Starting in February, American Heart Month, Mimi’s Cafe is giving a piece of its heart to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement. The neighborhood Bistro inspired by France is the first-ever restaurant to nationally support the effort. Go Red For Women is dedicated to fighting heart disease, the number one killer of women, and harnessing the energy, passion and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out the disease.Mimi’s is activating its heartfelt campaign on National Wear Red Day, February 3.

Guests who show their support by wearing red will receive a FREE cup of soup with any purchase to warm their heart. And throughout the month, guests will be invited to join in the fight against heart disease in women. For every $1 donation, guests can post a red heart-shaped tribute card on the giant in-restaurant red dress display. With a $5 donation, guests will also receive a commemorative red dress lapel pin. As a thank you for these donations, Mimi’s will provide each guest with up to $35 in savings.

(2012) Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will celebrate the passion this year with three evenings of luxe specials and a Valentine gift for couples dining on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, February 12th through the 14th.

To enhance the occasion, Executive Chef Russell Skall has created three mouthwatering entrees perfect for Valentine’s dinner that will be available in addition to Fleming’s popular a la carte menu. “Valentine’s celebration is always a memorable time for our guests,” remarked Chef Skall. “There is nothing more romantic then savoring the pleasures of a delicious dinner and wine with someone you love.”

Filet Mignon & Prawns, Prime New York Strip & King Crab, and Colossal North Atlantic Lobster Tail with Lobster Mac & Cheese will be offered, each at $69.95. A dessert for two, Red Velvet Cake with Espresso Truffles, is $9.50. Wine Director Maeve Pesquera has crafted a Cupid-perfect cocktail for the holiday: The Bella-Tini is a Bellini-inspired cocktail with Belvedere Vodka, peach purée and Mas Fi Cava sparkling wine for $9.95 (recipe and image upon request). Suggested wine pairings to toast the evening include Tiamo Chianti, Italy, 2010; Terra Valentine Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, 2007 and Roederer Brut Rosé, Anderson Valley NV.
