As we here at Great Taste usher in a new season, so too is Nello Cucina with its autumn selections. The critically acclaimed Italian trattoria at South Coast Plaza’s Crystal Court in Costa Mesa is debuting a menu that features familiar fall ingredients and, overall, more robust items, announced Managing Partner Franco Vessia. With the exception of 2 entrée selections, items on the fall menu are under $15 each.
Among them are the Rotelle di Pasta, rolled pasta, prosciutto, béchamel, and mozzarella baked and topped in a tomato vodka cream sauce for $14.95; Polpettine di Carne, a hearty Italian-style meatball sandwich topped with melted mozzarella for $10.95; the PLT featuring roasted turkey, crispy pancetta, Romaine lettuce, roasted tomato and Italian parsley aioli for $10.95; and Insalata di Pollo Autunnale, a salad with grilled chicken breast, curly endive, beets, apples, roasted walnuts, yogurt Gorgonzola dressing for $10.25.
