3rd Annual Los Angeles Food & Wine Announces Star-Studded Lineup and Musical Performances

The Third AnnualLos Angeles Food & WineFestival will take over the city’s “Heart of Art” on Grand Avenue fromAugust 22-25, 2013and boasts a dynamic line-up of applauded culinary and music industry stars, including headlining performances from Gavin DeGraw and DJ ?uestlove. The four-day epicurean fiªte fromCoastal Luxury Management, also the producers behind Pebble Beach Food, is presented byFOOD & WINEmagazine and continues its position as the only homegrown festival to provide locals and visitors unparalleled access to many of the food industry’s most celebrated local and national stars, including Thomas Keller, Curtis Stone, Giada De Laurentiis, Masaharu Morimoto, Grant Achatz, Duff Goldman, Rick Bayless, and Scott Conant. Some of this year’s event festival highlights include:

• Thursday, August 22, 2013:Grammy award-winning musician,New York Timesbest-selling author, and restaurateur Ahmir “DJ ?uestlove”Thompson will set the mood of the evening’s kick-off event with the return ofGiada’s Festa Italiana,on Grand Avenue. The Food Network-favorite will dish up her unique blend of Italian cuisine with a California twist alongside a line-up of culinary icons the likes ofChefThomas Keller(The French Laundry, Bouchon), Michael Chiarello (Bottega Napa Valley), Gino Angelini (Rivabella), Ori Menashe (Bestia), Evan Funke (Bucato), and Antonio Giordano (Terroni). Over two hundred wines from around the world will be poured alongside top brews and spirits.

• Friday, August 23, 2013:Friday evening’s events will span the scope of LA, featuring a “happy hour” event,Tacos & Tequila,at The Bungalow Santa Monica highlighting the flavors of notable talent Rick Bayless and Ray Garcia. Meanwhile, on Grand Avenue, Iron Chef Morimoto hosts the secondAsian Night Market, an event that highlights the city’s widespread cultural neighborhoods and appreciation for the global cuisines Los Angeles has to offer. Dishes will be plated by culinary personalities including Bryant Ng (Spice Table), Kris Yenbamroong (Night + Market), David Myers (Hinoki & The Bird) and others.

• Saturday, August 24, 2013:The presence of musical legends will continue with Saturday’s programming that includes a cooking demonstration on the Jenn-Air Master Class Culinary Stage featuring the vibrant duality of Grammy Award-winning musical artist and organic food line founder,Ziggy Marley,andChef Ben Fordhighlighting the relationship and passion each have for using local and sustainable ingredients. The day is capped off withLexus Live On Grand, hosted by Top Chef Masters’ host Curtis Stone and a remarkable live performance from platinum recording artist,Gavin DeGraw.
