Back by popular demand, Innovative Dining Group (IDG)’s Sushi Roku Pasadena will participate in One Colorado Courtyard’s “Saturday Nights in August” concert series with the ultimate al fresco summer experience. During the first and third Saturdays in August, Sushi Roku will transform the Downtown Pasadena space into a striking pop-up beer garden and restaurant for those enjoying the free outdoor concerts. The courtyard beer garden will showcase a selection of summery cocktails, such as the Mandarin Honey Margarita ($12) with Los Arongo Tequila, mandarin oranges, honey, and lime juice. In addition to a selection of Sushi Roku favorites such as Fried Ji-Dori Chicken “Kara Age” ($10) and Spicy Tuna Hanabi on Crispy Rice Cakes ($11), the menu will feature new dishes like Sea Bream Yuzu with diced chilies ($16) and Crispy Rice Asparagus ($9). A selection of Robatayaki skewers, including Bacon-Wrapped Cherry Tomatoes ($6) and Premium Wagyu Japanese Beef ($54), as well as a three-course prix-fixe Red Sun Feast ($40), will also be available. Modern African Jazz Vocalist Wangari will perform on August 3, and Indie Folk/Country Pop/Electronica Band Lavender Diamond on August 17.
