cho oishi

Japanese shabu shabu restaurant and sushi bar, Cho Oishi is now open on the upper dining deck at the lively entertainment complex, Hollywood & Highland. Cho Oishi (which loosely translates to “super delicious”) is the newest Japanese dining destination from father-son duo, Charlie and Nat Sukitjavanich.

Hailing from Thailand, the father-son duo have years of culinary experience both in the U.S. and abroad. After 13 years of success in the restaurant industry throughout parts of Florida, Charlie Sukitjavanich along with his son, Nat have decided to bring their culinary skills to Los Angeles. The Sukitjavanichs currently own and operate multiple Japanese, Thai and seafood restaurant concepts in Florida, with their newest venture launching in the heart of Hollywood.

Perched atop the entertainment epicenter at Hollywood & Highland, the atmosphere at Cho Oishi was conceived by LA-based design firm, Spacecraft. Drawing from textural Japanese elements and motifs, Spacecraft seamlessly integrated these components with clean, modern lines to create a space that is sleek yet warm and inviting. The expansive 5,600 square-foot space with birds-eye views of the bustling Hollywood strip boasts an inviting 30-foot sushi bar and shabu shabu tables, offering an unparalleled dining experience for locals and visitors alike.

Serving inventive sushi rolls, shabu shabu, and traditional Japanese cuisine with clever and modern twists, Cho Oishi offers an expansive menu pleasing to every palate
