The Ecology Center’s Farm to Fork adult series of cooking classes emphasizes the journey real food takes from seed to plate! Beginning with an exploration of The Ecology Center’s orchard, veggie and herb gardens, and ending with the preparation and enjoyment of a meal. You’ll forage fresh greens and beansstraight from the garden and cook up a variety of dishes that highlight the season’s best flavors. Sharing hisbounty of knowledge, chef JeffVenier will help turnhomegrown ingredients into nourishing meals for the entire family.

In this class, you’ll gain hands-on, practical skills you can use in the kitchen to make healthy, self-sufficient food choices. Understand why cooking is a fun first step to enjoying real food that is fresh, local, organic and healthy for our environment! Beer and wine will be available for an additional cost to adults 21+

Menu Includes:

– Tapas style appetizers including fried artichoke hearts, chickpea pancakes with pickled veggies, favas with ricotta, and artichoke stems.

– Salad with citrus dressing.

– Tart with rhubarb and strawberry jam
