On the heels of a 6-month-long remodel,Alegriain Long Beach has announced a new menu and beverage list featuring more South American and Spanish influenced fare, announced owner Adrian Amosa. With its new fresh look as a backdrop,Alegriahas expanded its offerings to include several cuts of choice grade beef including a filet mignon with cinnamon scented mushroom wine sauce, skirt steak in a citrus scented chimichurri and a Cuban style flank steak. Several chicken, shrimp and fresh fish offerings round out the entrees, most of which are priced around $20.
Among the appetizers that are meant to be shared are Muscovy Duck Barbacoa, Lamb Chops a la Parilla, AlegriaFire Calamari and Empanadas de Picadillo stuffed with beef, capers, raisins and spices. In addition to wines from Argentina, Spain, Chile and California andAlegria’s popular house-made sangria, a new cocktail list features several traditional drinks as well as some new ones like the Dragonberry Mojito with dragonberry rum, passion fruit, lime juice and mint leaves; Sweet & Spicy Caipirinha with Bacardi rum and jalapeño and mango extract; and the Bobby Burns with Dewar’s White Label, sweet vermouth, Benedictine and angostura bitters all priced at $10.
Happy Hour is offeredMonday-Fridayfrom3:30 7 p.m.and features $2 tacos, $5 nachos, $5 empanadas, among others and Margaritas, mojitos, red and white wines and well cocktails for $5. Domestic beers for $4 and Imported ones for $5 also are available.
