A longtime local favorite, Darren’s Restaurant, reopened its doors to the public on July 11 after extensive interior and exterior renovations and a comprehensive revamping of the original menu.
Although Darren’s was only officially closed for two weeks, it seems to hold true that a short amount of time can feel like an eternity when you are anxiously anticipating something as exciting as the reopening of one of Manhattan Beach’s most beloved restaurants. The new, re-imagined Darren’s features a revamped menu that offers guests small and large plates to share. With a centralized community table, a light and airy ambiance, and a striking floor-to-ceiling glass exterior, the new Darren’s boasts a contemporary European vibe while still preserving the inviting and approachable environment that Darren’s is known for.
To celebrate the reopening, Darren’s will host a dinner on July 29 at 7 p.m. which will benefit No Limits for Deaf Children, an organization that has dedicated itself to enriching the lives of children with hearing impairments through after-school programs and theatre groups. Tickets go on sale Monday, July 14 and a portion of ticket proceeds will benefit No Limits for Deaf Children.
