La Vida Cantina Launches Sunday Brunch & Friday Lunch
La Vida Cantina, the popular new Mexican restaurant at The Triangle in Costa Mesa, has introduced a Sunday brunch as well as expanded its weekend lunch service to Fridays. Perfect to relax with family or catch NFL games with friends, La Vida Cantina’s brunch is served on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Boasting a large patio with two palapas for shaded dining, La Vida Cantina offers a brunch menu of authentic and fresh dishes as well as bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s until 2 p.m. The menu features a range of items including Izzy’s French Toast, baguette-style French toast topped with a warm berry mix and served with three crispy jalapeno bacon strips;Burrito de Huevo, scrambled eggs with chorizo, onions, serrano peppers and cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla;
Steak and Eggs, Certified Angus skirt steak strips served with two eggs, breakfast potatoes, refried black beans and a choice of flour or corn tortillas; Huevos Rancheros, a crispy tortilla topped with two eggs, covered with ranchera sauce and jack cheese. Served with breakfast potatoes and refried black beans; Breakfast Tostaditas, two crispy tortillas topped with refried black beans, shredded pork, poached eggs, covered with a tomatillo sauce and topped with avocado, Mexican cream and cotija cheese; Enchiladas con Huevo, two cheese enchiladas in a guajillo sauce, topped with two eggs and served with breakfast potatoes and refried black beans; and a La Vida Omelet, natural smoked ham, jack cheese, onions, poblano peppers, mushrooms and red bell peppers, topped avocado and a drizzle of tomatillo sauce, served with breakfast potatoes and refried black beans.
La Vida Cantina’s regular menu, available for dinner after 4 p.m. on weekdays, and served for lunch after11 a.m.on Saturdays and after2 p.m.on Sundays, is now available for lunch on Fridays beginning at11 a.m.
The restaurant is quickly becoming known for popular dishes such as the La Vita Burrito, grilled Angus steak in a flour tortilla filled with sauteed onions, tomatoes, refried beans, cheese and salsa fresca, topped with both red and green enchilada sauce, cotija cheese and avocado then drizzled with Mexican cream. Other signature dishes include Ceviche De Camaron, shrimp mixed with mango, red onion, cucumber, cilantro, serrano pepper and tomato salsa; and Enchiladas de Langosta, two Maine lobster enchiladas covered with a tomatillo poblano sauce, topped with avocado, cotija cheese and drizzled with Mexican cream and served with white rice and black beans.
La Vida Cantina will is open for dinner Monday through Thursday at 4 p.m.; lunch on Friday at and Saturday at 11 a.m., and Sunday brunch at9 a.m.Happy Hour is offered Monday through Friday from 4 to 6:30 p.m., and a Late Night Happy Hour is available Thursday through Saturday, from11 p.m. until 2 a.m.
