Hector Vazquez to Lead Culinary Team at Flagstaffâ„¢s Only Four-Diamond Resort

Derrick Watchman, CEO of The Navajo Gaming Enterprise (Navajo Gaming) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Hector Vazquez to executive chef for Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort in Northern Arizona. Vazquez will direct the culinary activities of the resortâ„¢s five restaurants: Zenith Steakhouse, Four Elements Cafe, Arrows Sports Bar, Indulgence Cafe and the Food Court.

We are thrilled to promote Hector Vazquez to this leadership position on Twin Arrowsâ„¢ culinary team, Watchman said. His skills will serve to further enhance and support the resortâ„¢s reputation as a first-class, AAA Four-Diamond destination.

Vazquez brings extensive culinary experience to his new position at Twin Arrows. He attended San Diego Mesa College and began his culinary career at notable hotels and resorts in California, Texas and New Mexico. He has held positions in San Diego at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Wyndham Emerald Plaza, Harrahâ„¢s Rincon Casino and Resort, Paradise Point Resort and Spa, and the Hilton San Diego Bay Front. He was most recently employed as the assistant executive chef at Viejas Hotel and Casino in Alpine, California.

I feel privileged to lead such an excellent team. I look forward improving the culinary skills of our talented crew as we present Navajo cuisine and culture to national and international visitors, Vazquez said. Vazquez also will direct the extensive catering services offered by Twin Arrows for events ranging from large business conferences and trade shows to special events and weddings. Additionally, Vazquez has unveiled Zenith Steakhouses new fall menu.
