Guthrie’s Poised for Significant Growth in 2015

Guthrie’s is poised for significant growth this year, as they celebrate the company’s 50thanniversary in July.

The franchise company is now offering a new spin on an old favorite. The company’s newest franchise offering a small-footprint, lower-up-front-capital version of its traditional dine-in restaurants gives individuals who are trying to break into the franchise market a more affordable way to do so.

Guthrie’s To Go is a simple drive-thru/walk-up restaurant concept, typically sized between 500-750 square feet. The smaller size reduces the amount of up-front capital required to build the restaurant, including land and personnel costs.

The newest Guthrie’s To Go location opened in Opelika, Ala., in October of 2014 by Guthrie’s President Joe K. Guthrie. Several more To Go locations are expected to open in 2015.

“The simplicity of the concept is what is appealing on so many levels,” Guthrie said. “By lowering the up-front cost and increasing efficiency, the Guthrie’s To Go concept will work in most markets throughout the country.”

Currently, there are 25 Guthrie’s restaurants, with more on the way. The Guthrie’s brand is ready to give the entire country a taste of their “Golden Fried Chicken Fingers.”

Guthrie’s serves a limited menu of fresh, hot, fast, Golden Fried Chicken Fingers. Hal Guthrie opened the first Guthrie’s in 1965 in Haleyville, Ala., and Guthrie’s pioneered the chicken finger restaurant concept in 1982.
