Project Angel Food Presents Annual EAT. DRINK. BE AN ANGEL. ON APRIL 22

EAT OUT AT PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS TO HELP RAISE FUNDS FORPROJECT ANGEL FOOD

Project Angel Food, which is celebrating 25 years of serving the critically ill in Los Angeles County, will present it’s annual Eat. Drink. Be an Angel. on Wednesday, April 22. By selecting to enjoy food and drink at any of the participating Los Angeles area restaurants, locals and visitors alike help generate needed funds for Project Angel Food’s meal delivery program as each restaurant has pledged to donate a minimum of 20% of that day’s food sales to this important non-profit organization.

“We invite all Angelenos to dine out at our partners’ restaurants in support of Project Angel Food,” said Project Angel Food Executive Director Laurie Lang. “It’s wonderful that some of Los Angeles’ best restaurants have partnered with us on April 22, and we know that their customers will love their meal even more as they help us raise funds for our food and nutrition services.”

This year, Eat. Drink. Be an Angel. restaurant partners include award-winning, and Angeleno favorites:

“There are a lot of hungry people in Los Angeles. I’m glad that I can help feed those who are also critically ill and malnourished by partnering with Project Angel Food for this year’s Eat. Drink. Be An Angel,” said JAR Restaurant chef and owner, Suzanne Tracht. “We have worked with Project Angel Food for over five years, and I love that by feeding people at JAR on April 22, we are also helping to feed people who are in dire need of healthy, nutritious meals via our Project Angel Food donation. It’s important to give back.”

Project Angel Food’s mission is to nourish people debilitated by critical illnesses. The men and women Project Angel Food serves are too sick to go to a grocery store or food bank, let alone stand at a stove to cook a healthy meal. With Project Angel Food’s delicious, nutrient-packed meals delivered directly to their homes at the ready, they can better focus on healing with strength and dignity. Project Angel Food cooks and delivers over 10,000 free and medically tailored meals every week, including breakfasts for households with children. The funds raised by Eat. Drink. Be An Angel. will go towards supporting the life-affirming work of Project Angel Food.
