It’s Margarita Classico Time In Fuego at Hotel Maya
Blended or on ice, Fuego’s Margarita Classico class is a nice way to spend an afternoon learning the mixology secrets of the ever-popular margarita at Hotel Maya onSaturday, April 25 from 3 – 5 pm. Margarita Classico is part of Hotel Maya’s 2015 Latin-Inspired Culinary and Mixology Classes series.
Guests will sip and study a wide variety of margaritas including the world-famous Fuego Margarita, muddle away making the blackberry margarita and the anti margarita, and learn the history of tequila and the differences between Silver, Reposado and Anejo tequilas.
Don Julio Tequila Mixologists will lead the Margarita Classico class, which is $30 per person and limited to 30 guests.
“Join us for Fuego’s Margarita Classico class as we learn about the variety of margaritas and types of tequilas while enjoying the waterfront views and springtime weather,” said Kristi Allen, General Manager at Hotel Maya – a Doubletree by Hilton. “Fuego’s classes provide the opportunity for guests and locals to learn more about Mayan culture through food, entertainment and the arts.”

Sangria! Sangria!, Mixology Class, Saturday, May 16, 3 – 5 pm. Guests will enjoy a refreshing kick-off to the summer season.
Ceviche Fresco, Culinary Class, Saturday, July 25, 11 am – 1 pm. Guests will learn to prepare this light and refreshing summer dish and lunch.
Latin Triple Shots with The Caipirinha, The Mojito and The Pina Colada, Mixology Class, Saturday, September 26, 3 – 5 pm. Guests will lean into late summer by learning about three delicious rum drinks that highlight Brazil, Cuba and Puerto Rico.
Guacamole de Fuego, Culinary Class, Saturday, November 14, 11 am – 1 pm. Fuego guests will celebrate the holiday and football seasons with this fan favorite along with lunch.
Executive Chef Victor Juarez led the Mayan Chocolate for Couples culinary class on Valentine’s Day in February.
