It’s Margarita Classico Time In Fuego at Hotel Maya

Blended or on ice, Fuego’s Margarita Classico class is a nice way to spend an afternoon as guests learn the mixology secrets of the ever-popular margarita from Ramon Mora, brand ambassador for Don Julio Tequila, on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Hotel Maya – a DoubleTree by Hilton in Long Beach, Calif. Margarita Classico is part of Hotel Maya’s 2015 Latin-Inspired Culinary and Mixology Classes series. Guests sipped and studied a wide variety of margaritas including the world-famous Fuego Margarita, muddled away making the blackberry margarita and the prickly pear margarita, and learned the history of tequila and the differences between Silver, Reposado and Anejo tequilas. Hotel Maya’s Latin-Inspired Culinary and Mixology Classes Offer Sangria! Sangria! in May, Ceviche Fresco in July, Latin Triple Shots of Rum in September and Guacamole de Fuego in November. Fuego, the modern, Latin-infused indoor-outdoor restaurant and lounge, offers a unique seaside setting featuring 13-foot-tall glass walls that fully retract with seating inside and on the patio area. Fuego’s stunning open-air views include the Pacific Ocean, Long Beach skyline and Queen Mary.
