As students (800 in kindergarten through middle school) and staff at Laguna Niguel’s St. Anne School returned to school they were in for a tasty treat. This is thanks to “Every Child is My Child,” a visionary lunch program carefully conceived, prepared and delivered daily by local Chef/Restaurateur Azmin Ghahreman of Sapphire Laguna. Taking a cue from the Obama administration’s focus on better nutrition for schoolchildren, Chef Ghahreman is fully launching the program he started last spring – providing delicious, freshly prepared hot lunches, a la carte breakfast and lunch selections and healthy snacks to hungry St. Anne students.
