Tuck Room TavernJust opened in Westwood, tucked away inside iPic Theaters, is The Tuck Room Tavern

Sherry Yard’s highly anticipated new culinary foray, The Tuck Room Tavern, is now open in Westwood presenting a jovial neighborhood dining + drinking den featuring craveable American fare in a lively atmosphere with a touch of whimsy.

At The Tuck Room Tavern, engaging bartenders serve up a liquid love letter to Los Angeles with cocktails inspired by the Golden Age of Hollywood, social punch bowls, fresh locally brewed beers and a Sommelier-curated list of over 20 wines and Champagnes by the glass and half bottle. Choose from comforting cuisine which include homemade breads, Santa Monica Farmers market nightly specials, Brioche-Crusted Maryland Crab Cakes, Reuben Croquettes, Spring Bean Salad, Grilled Rib Eye, and not to be missed, Chef Sherry’s desserts. Adam Seger’s ‘Ice DJs’ elevate the art of personalized mixology by shaking up nostalgic libations and hand-cut ice, and it all begins in a charmingly imaginative space.

Based on the board game, “Clue,” the dining room takes unexpected turns, encircling an energetic bar, with checkered floors, tall leather and emerald velvet banquettes, striking crystal chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling painted bookshelves. Inside, a “parlor” awaits shadow box tables and small family knickknacks. A cozy “den” creates a more intimate nook, while the bar offers a playfully crafty ambience. Outside, a patio dubbed the “conservatory” welcomes hours of outdoor fun.

The space exudes originality with oversized hand-painted book sculpture art and murals by celebrated American artist Mike Stilkey. Here, the enchanting bold and artistic personalities of a stately elephant and dancing bears serve as the backdrop for your lounging and dining experience.

Tuck Room Tavern’s culinary offerings deliver mouthwatering renditions of what Yard herself calls “craveable American Fare.” Start with items like the New York-inspired Reuben Croquettes with crispy pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and “thousand island” sauce, and the Brioche-Crusted Crab Cakes, with Old Bay remoulade, frisée and Polito Farms citrus salad, yuzu vinaigrette. Then, make your way to Yard’s main plates. Here, you’ll swoon over the “Drunken Goat” Turkey Burger, made with Mediterranean spiced turkey, green Harissa, Greek yogurt dressing, pickled cucumber and wild arugula; or the Mango & Habanero BBQ Baby Back Ribs with spicy tangy coleslaw and honey-glazed cornbread topped with whipped goat cheese. A variety of salads make a fresh appearance, including Roasted Chicken & Farro, and Grilled Gulf Shrimp & Beet.

Take a further look around and you’ll find stunning works by Kalisher Studio, an art curating agency specializing in private collections and hospitality art. Collaborating with interior designers Studio K, Kalisher created thought-provoking pieces combining colonial American nuances with humorous elements. Historical art references are made using portraiture as a starting point and fun, bold animal figures. Kalisher Studio’s team also crafted a collection of different moldings for the pieces, baroque-inspired, chunky, thick frames adding character to the art. Among the space, a riddle is hidden for kids to find; if they do, they’ll receive one complimentary dessert.

End your meal on a sweet note with Yard’s rave-worthy desserts. Think Millionaires Shortbread with coffee caramel, caramel cream and chocolate glaze; and Black n Blue Pot Pie with farmers market black and blueberries, flaky puff pastry and blackberry crumble swirl ice cream.

Spirit aficionados will delight in Tuck’s creative menu of handcrafted cocktails developed by renowned Corporate Sommelier/Executive Bartender Adam Seger. Seger’s classically-inspired ‘Bespoke Cocktails’ pioneer the concept of personalized mixology at the bar and dining room.

The Tuck Room Tavern is also home to LA’s only ‘Ice DJ Booth’ where Seger’s premium bar masters elevate the art of the cocktail by hand-carving ice from a 45-pound block for guests to enjoy with their Old Fashioneds and Punch Bowls.

Skillfully crafted libations at Tuck focus on the finest herbs and spices as well as house-made syrups, bitters and infusions. Here, mixology is about discovery. Social drinking enthusiasts will delight in Seger’s stunning liquid nitrogen bottle service, seasonal drink pitchers, social punch bowls, innovative bottled craft cocktails, along with a local-centric craft beer selection to perfectly complement Tuck’s range of dining flavors.

The Tuck Room Tavern is open Monday-Thursday 4-11 pm; Friday-Saturday 4 pm-midnight.
