Wildwood Ovens, maker of acclaimed wood fire ovens, Brazilian BBQs and Japanese yakitori grills since 2002, will be hosting a one-of-a-kind yakitori workshop with chef Michael Gerard where guests will learn to carve up organic free range chickens, separate the parts, and make authentic Japanese Izakaya (bar bites) cooked over “Kishu Binchotan Komaru Charcoal Kushiyaki”, a formal term that encompasses both poultry and non-poultry items, skewered and grilled, on authentic yakitori grills. Each guest will prepare and enjoy four unique and authentic dishes.

For reservations and more information, call (323) 255-6578, email or book online at cookingwithwood.com.

The brainchild of Michael Gerard, Wildwood Ovens has received accolades from chefs worldwide for their impressive performance since its founding in 2002. In 2015, Wildwood launched the Dual Fuel Yakitori BBQ, and 3-star Michelin Chef, Cesar Ramirez, has two custom Wildwood Yakitori BBQs in his New York City restaurant. In addition to innovative wood fired ovens and related products, Wildwood also offers unique cooking classes and event hosting at its beautiful Eagle Rock, CA space, which features two kitchens—one indoor, one out—three wood-fired ovens, a Brazilian BBQ, and an intimate setting.
