Butterleaf is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its first location in Irvine, CA, bringing hearty plant-based options to Southern California’s newest culinary destination, TRADE Food Hall. To herald the opening, the quick serve vegetarian concept will offer free Avocado Bombs to the first 100 guests.
Butterleaf celebrates the unsung glory of vegetables, presenting a satisfying bounty of fresh, plant-based options for omnivores and herbivores alike. Redefining vegetables – one drool-worthy bite at a time – the soon-to-be dining hotspot proves that everyone can love vegetables. It’s vegetarian food for non-vegetarians.
Focusing on minimal ingredients, local restaurateur and celebrity chef Andrew Gruel and his team bring vegetarian fare to new heights at Butterleaf, pleasing the masses with a wide range of options. The menu features hearty dishes and sides including Signature Burgers made with sweet potatoes and black beans, Avocado Bombs and Umami Chips. Guests can also build their own bowls and wraps, with a revolving menu of ancient super grains (brown rice, quinoa, or freekah), homemade sauces (Citrus Honey, Tiger, Herb) and seasonally- rotating vegetables. Working alongside local farmers including Melissa’s Produce, the team is dedicated to showcasing each season’s freshest ingredients, grown right in their own backyard.
Gruel embraces the continued rise of food halls nationwide, and is thrilled to launch the Butterleaf concept in TRADE, located in the heart of Irvine’s bustling business center.
