Get your passport stamped in El Salvador as Fuego continues its 12-country Latin American 2017 tour on Sunday, June 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fuego’s authentic Salvadorian dishes will be accentuated by live Latin music with The Sounds of El Salvador. Free Latin dance demonstrations will be presented during brunch.
Fuego guests looking for an extended El Salvador experience will also enjoy the daily offerings of a Salvadorian specialty “Yucca con Chicharron,” fried pork carnitas, yucca root, red tomato sauce, pickled cabbage and refried beans. The Salvadorian drink of the month is a refreshing “Spiked Horchata” with Captain Morgan white rum, Rum Chata and cinnamon.
Fuego, the modern, Latin infused indoor-outdoor restaurant and lounge, offers a unique seaside setting featuring 13-foot-tall glass walls that fully retract with seating inside and on the patio area. Fuego’s stunning open-air views include the Pacific Ocean, Long Beach skyline and Queen Mary.

The Latin American Brunch series continues to Brazil on July 23, Chile on August 20, Venezuela on September 17, Guatemala on October 29, Peru on November 19, and Nicaragua on December 17. The Latin American Brunch series’ first five stops were Cuba in January, Argentina in February, Costa Rica in March, Colombia in April and Mexico in May.
For June, Executive Chef Juarez has prepared a culinary tour stop in El Salvador that begins with sensational Salads featuring Sopa de Pata aka Vegetable Beef Stew; Salpicon; Roasted Beet Salad with peppers escabeche, cotija cheese and pepitas; Chipotle Caesar Salad; Watercress and Jicama Salad; Corn Salad; Summer Fruit Salad, Shrimp Cocktail; Domestic and Imported Cheeses; and a variety of Ceviche including mahi-mahi, sea bass and mixto.
Traditional Salvadorian Pupusas include a fresh selection of chicharron, fried beans, and loroco con queso, and cabbage escabeche, along with fresh homemade salsas, caramelized plantains and pasteles fritos.
El Salvador Brunch entrees are ordered from the server and include a choice of Fuego Eggs Benedict with two poached eggs, sautéed spinach, applewood smoked bacon, English muffins, Hollandaise, broiled tomato and roasted potatoes; Tamales de Puerco “Pork Tamal” with milled corn masa filled with pork and wrapped in banana leaves, curdido aka pickled cabbage and salsa roja; Bistec Encebollado with pan-seared filet mignon, caramelized onions, Dijon mustard, worchershire sauce, casamiento aka a mixture of rice, beans and chorizo; Yucca con Chicharron with fried pork carnitas, yucca root, red tomato sauce, pickled cabbage and refried beans; Pollo Encebollado with half-baked chicken with onions, tomato and herbs, white rice and steamed chayote; Huachinango “Veracruzana Style” with pan-seared red snapper, peppers, onions, capers, potatoes, tomatoes and herbed tomato sauce; Camarones Entomatado withsautéed shrimp in a tomato sauce, arroz blanco and chayote con queso duro; Grilled Lobster Tail with a 12-ounce lobster tail, butter lemon garlic sauce, calavasitas, corn and cotija cheese – for an additional $10.
Salvadorian Desserts include an assortment of mini breakfast pastries, chocolate tres leches, cup cakes, mango flan with cajeta sauce, assorted mini cakes, vanilla raisin bread pudding, pandulce, vanilla custard, and quesadilla salvadorena.
The Latin American Brunch Series – El Salvador costs $55.00 per adult and children, 13 and older; $27.50 for children, 12 and under; kids 5 and under feast for free; plus tax and gratuity.
