Get ready Downey – Rock & Brews made its way to your city, August 2017. KISS front men Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, with co-founding partners Michael Zislis and concert industry veterans Dave and Dell Furano, announced today that their family-friendly, rock-inspired Rock & Brews restaurant brand will be expanding to Downey, California this summer. The restaurant will be the brands ninth in California, and 21st overall.
Rock & Brews in Downey is being developed by locally based multi-unit franchise partner Jon Mesko, who also owns and operates Rock & Brews restaurants in Redondo Beach, Buena Park, Corona and Rancho Cucamonga, California. The new restaurant is located at 467 Stonewood Street, at the Stonewood shopping center and will introduce 125 new permanent jobs to the local community.
The newest Rock & Brews restaurant will open to the public on Labor Day, September 4th inside the Stonewood Center, and brings the brand’s signature American comfort food and family-friendly, rock-inspired atmosphere. This will be the first Rock & Brews concept to be erected inside a shopping mall.
A private charity event, in honor of local veterans, will be hosted by Stanley and Simmons prior to opening.
The 8,400-square foot rock-inspired restaurant will feature a private dining area that can seat up to 100 guests and is perfect for events of all calibers and a full bar with a selection of more than 100 craft and international beers, in addition to the brand’s quality American comfort food. Children and dogs are entertained with a play structure for kids and a dog-friendly covered patio. Adults can enjoy games as well, including board games and Jenga.
Over 15 flat screens will play concert-style rock videos and sporting events complemented by concert lighting and rock artwork including a Great Wall of Rock that pays tribute to music legends.
