Dine LBC just got bigger
Dine LBC is expanding beyond its annual restaurant week event beginning in August by connecting diners and chefs for exclusive monthly pop-up style events. In addition to offering a suite of services such as ticketing and marketing to its community of chefs, Dine LBC is working with owners and management of unique spaces around the city where chefs can host their events and diners can gather around the table. The location for the event will be revealed close to the actual date.
The first clustered event is a brunch set for August 5th and 6th. Long Beach Chef AC Boral is first up and will be offering a family-style brunch both days titled RICE & SHINE featuring Filipino family favorites with a contemporary twist. The RICE & SHINE brunch is $45 with an option to add bottomless Rosé Mimosas at $20.
The menu features:
Halo Halo Parfait with mango yogurt, pili nut granola, melon and crispy rice
Bagel with Ube Cream Cheese & Ensaymada Butter
Pork Sisig Chilaquiles
Chef’s Special Entree (TBD)
Garlic Rice
Tomato & Duck Egg Salad
Longanisa Scotch Egg a soft boiled egg wrapped in Filipino breakfast sausage, coated in pinipig crispy rice and deep fried
Auntie Rose’s Sweets (for guests to take home)
Long Beach resident Chef AC Boral has been sharing his unique perspective of food with the world since 2012. FromRICE & SHINE to concept menus like a Wu Tang Clan tribute dinner, AC has fed thousands across the country. AC’s approach to food is fun, creative and delicious. He considers breaking bread a holistic experience, taking care to think about music and energy of a meal as much as the food itself.
