Selvaggio and Salisbury Collaborate to Bring Us “Louie’s”

539

Ron Salisbury of The Cannery who originally envisioned the Pacific Coast Highway space as a steakhouse recently approached restaurateur Piero Selvaggio in order to discuss opening a new restaurant in Newport Beach. The new brand has morphed into an Italian steakhouse with good quality proteins and authentic yet fun pastas.

Selvaggio has been the long time head of Valentino’s Italian in Santa Monica, which first opened in 1972. The restaurant helped to introduce a new era of Italian ingredients, exposing LA to foods they were not quite familiar with yet. It has been a long and exciting chapter, but Selvaggio has decided to continue on with new endeavors.

Selvaggio will be managing partner with his collaborator, Ron Salisbury, and they will take over the space in Newport previously occupied by The Ritz.
