SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA-BASED BURGER BOSS NAMED AMONG THE TOP 30 EMERGING RESTAURANT CHAINS BY QSR MAGAZINE
Grass-Fed Beef Focused Restaurant Will Begin Offering Franchise Opportunities Later this Year and Has Just Signed a Lease to Open its First L.A. Location.
Burger Boss, a concept that allows guests to “boss” their own grass-fed or grass-finished burger, was named as one of the Top 30 Emerging Restaurant Chains by QSR Magazine, the industry’s leading source of information for the quick-service and fast-casual restaurant industries.
The list encompasses restaurant brands with a minimum of five units, such as Burger Boss, to 75 locations that showcase a potential growth in the near future coupled with progressive developments that are both innovative and unique.
“We are extremely humbled to be included on a list with many accomplished brands,” said Mo Farha, president and founder of Burger Boss. “We are projecting a steady growth pattern for our brand over the next five years, and landing on a list such as this can be a game changer for a small company such as ours.”
Survey analytics was used to gather its list of nominations, which are sourced from industry experts, food enthusiasts, industry leaders and influencers. Earned media, including traditional and trade publications as well as blogs, also plays a pivotal role in determining the annual list, as well as structured reviews, online check-ins and ratings. The overall score further ranks the success of brands among social media platforms using a 1-10 scale system.
While Burger Boss is enjoying its most recent accolade, the company is also busy finalizing the rollout of its franchise opportunities.
“We feel the time is right to franchise Burger Boss,” said Kamil Finan, COO and co-founder of the company. “We will do our due diligence when vetting prospective franchisees as quality control and branding are our main priorities. We want guests to know they’re in Burger Boss, whether they are dining in Orange County, California, or Orange County, Florida. The experience must be seamless and consistent.”
The company also just announced that it has signed a lease for its first Los Angeles location. The sixth Burger Boss will open in West Hollywood later this year at 7111 Santa Monica Boulevard.
“This is proving to be a pivotal year for us,” added Farha. “We’re excited with what the future brings and are looking forward to introducing our concept to potential franchise owners as well as the city of West Hollywood.”
The Burger Boss experience begins at the front door where a flat screen monitor invites guests to build their burgers by visually adding or removing toppings and sauces. Their custom burger is displayed in front of them on the screen.
The five-step process includes selecting:
1. Protein – grass-fed beef and grass-finished, cage-free chicken or turkey, or house-made black bean patty
2. Bun – white Kaiser, wheat grain or gluten-free with bowl-only option
3. Cheese – from American and blue cheese crumble to sharp cheddar, vegan gouda and more
4. Sauce – from traditional 1000 Island to chipotle mayo, garlic herb mayo, honey Dijon, Sriracha and more
5. Toppings – turkey bacon, organic egg, grilled pineapple, avocado as well as more traditional offerings, such as tomatoes and grilled onions
From the very beginning Burger Boss’s goal has been to bring back the great American burger, which ceased to exist when large chains began mass producing them choosing quantity over quality. Farha then came up with the idea of putting the guest in charge of building their own burger. Guests can also “boss” their fries by selecting toppings and sauces.
In addition to premium beef, chicken and turkey plus 30 topping options and another 15 sauces, Burger Boss also offers any protein wrapped in lettuce or served in bowls for gluten and carb-free option. Vegan and vegetarian selections are also available.
Burger Boss, with locations in Riverside, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Tustin and Cypress, is open daily from 10:30am until 9pm and until 10pm Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit online at burgerboss.com
