Foraging is fantastic fun—health and nutrition can as easily be found outside of your door as along any hiking path. “Foraging Southern California” covers the primary threats to personal health; the techniques used to protect ecological health; and the most commonly found edible greens, fruits, flowers, seeds, roots and sources of protein. Our guest speaker professor Doug Kent has been working in California’s landscapes for over 40 years and teaching the techniques of foraging and wildcrafting at Cal Poly Pomona for over 11 years. Foraging must be done with knowledge and consideration. Attend this seminar on Saturday November 16th at 10am at the OHG Education Farm and then get outside and enjoy nature’s bounty.
