“The world’s largest (and most fun) tomato plant sale” comes to Roger’s Gardens for the 8th year.  Scott Daigre and his staff of Tomatomaniacs offer an astonishing selection of over 200 varieties of heirloom and hybrid tomato plants, including new varieties for 2020 and a large selection of peppers.  We also will be introducing the Tomato of the Year, ‘Thornburn’s Terracotta’, a honey-brown, almost pure terra-cotta color skin, orange-pink flesh, and bright green seed clusters, it magical to look at and has an incredible flavor. Immerse yourself in seminars that will leave you wanting to learn more about these special plants. Expert horticulturist, David Rizzo, will discuss everything edible, including vegetables, herbs, fruits, berries and more. The emphasis this month will cover, but will not be limited to, topics such as appropriate warm-season vegetables and herbs to plant now, growing in containers and small spaces, and care of fruit trees. David will lead a lively and interactive discussion about what, where and when to plant, prune, feed and harvest. Bring your questions as well as your own tips and tricks, as audience participation is encouraged.
