The Ecology Center is happy to announce the launch of “Resilience Boxes,” a curbside pick-up of farm-fresh produce, at both their San Juan Capistrano and Encinitas locations. Resilience Boxes are loaded with about a week’s worth of seasonal produce (about nine items) sourced from their farm and partner local organic farms.

Online ordering begins today, March 20th at shop.theecologycenter.org. Offerings will vary with a variety of produce such as onions, garlic, potatoes, lettuce, greens, citrus, and more. Additional staples such as bread, tortillas, eggs, cheese, butter, olive oil, beans, honey, vinegar, polenta, brown rice and lentils will be available as add-ons during the online purchase.

The Ecology Center will donate 10 percent of available Resilience Boxes and bread to those in need and asks that community members consider donating a box to the less fortunate. Anyone who needs help accessing food is encouraged to contact The Ecology Center for assistance.
