Molokai Venison Bolognese Sauce
Savor a special, delicious flavor of Molokai
Ingredients:
SET 1
1/3 C Butter
1/4 C Olive oil
1 C Onion β chopped
1 C Celery
1 C Carrots β chopped
1 1/2 T Garlic β minced
1 C Small Kine Farms, crimini mushrooms β chopped
SET 2
1 lb Pork butt β ground
1 lb Molokai Venison β ground
SET 3
40 oz San Marzano tomatoes β chopped
1 C Heavy cream
1/2 t Red chili flakes
3 T Tomato paste
1 Can Canned fire roasted red peppers β chopped
1 C Red wine
2 t Fresh Rosemary β chopped
1/2 t Black pepper
1 T Salt
1/2 t Oregano β dried
1/2 t Thyme β dried
Directions:
- SET 1. Saute
- SET 2. Saute the meat , donβt break it too small & cook through.
- SET 3. Add the remainder of the ingredients & bring to a boil & reduce heat to a simmer.
- Simmer it covered for 30-40 minutes.
- Adjust for salt & pepper.
- Serve with your favorite noodle, I love pappardelle for this but tagliatelle, fettuccine or even a tubular pasta like rigatoni would be great.
