Pelican Hill Resort earned top honors as the number one California Golf Resort, according to readers of luxury travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler. In its debut year on the magazine’s “Top 125 Golf Resorts” list, the two-and-a-half-year-old Resort earned one of the top two overall scores in the world, as well as two perfect scores for its Course Design & Access, and Golf Staff & Services.
Published in Conde Nast Traveler’s April 2011 issue, the “Top 125 Golf Resorts” list ranks golf resorts from across the world in regional lists by overall score, based upon ratings in eight specific categories. With an overall score of 96.6, Pelican Hill earned one of the top two scores worldwide. The only California golf resort to achieve perfect scores in the categories of Course Design & Access and Golf Staff & Services, Pelican Hill surpassed all California Golf Resorts in five of eight categories, including Food/Dining, Overall Design and Activities/Facilities.
“We are honored to be recognized by Conde Nast Traveler readers as the best golf resort destination in California, with perfect scores in two essential categories for course design and service,” said Pelican Hill Managing Director Giuseppe Lama. “We sincerely appreciate and treasure this valuable, encouraging feedback, as the Resort’s golf and hospitality professionals continuously strive to deliver the possibility of perfection with every guest experience.”
