Serendipity 3, the NYC restaurant known for their eclectic American food and desserts, created the World’s Most Expensive Hot Dog for Guinness World Records. The hot dog is one of America’s favorite foods. Every year, Americans consume on average 60 hot dogs a person! Hot dogs have become synonymous with Americana and Serendipity now dishes a designer version of this iconic American food.

Serendipity 3, famous for their foot long hot dogs, has now created a “haute cuisine” version of their Foot Long Hot Dog — The Serendipity Foot Long Haute Dog that sells for $69.00! 12 inches of Serendipity’s pure beef perfection grilled in delicate white truffle oil, placed in a salted pretzel bread bun that is imported from Germany and toasted with white truffle butter, topped with medallions of duck foie gras with black truffles with side condiments of black truffle Dijon mustard, caramelized Vidalia onions and heirloom tomato ketchup. Owner/founder, Stephen Bruce, who created Serendipity 3 almost 57 years ago says, “The hot dog is a little bit of Americana, but the ‘haute dog’ is total glamour!”

This Guinness World Record accompanies Serendipity’s existing Guinness Records that include the Golden Opulence Sundae — the World’s Most Expensive Ice Cream Sundae and the World’s Largest Hot Chocolate!
