A new upscale Mexican spot has just opened in Newport Beach. Located at 2607 West Pacific Coast Hwy in place of the recently-closed Joe’s Crab Shack, GuacAmigos is the latest venture from skateboarder Tony Hawk, in collaboration with three restaurateur brothers.
The restaurant features a wide array of Mexican cuisine, as well as a full bar, as Save Newport reported prior to their grand opening on Valentine’s Day. Since then, GuacAmigos has garnered modest praise in reviews on Yelp, with satisfied customers saying the great food and beautiful view make up for a somewhat pricey menu.
