Opal Chinese Cuisine at The Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel Hotel – San Gabriel – August 2019 – Anniversary

1623

World-class luxury continues in a bustling Los Angeles suburb as Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel expands their unrivaled food and beverage services with the opening of Opal Chinese Cuisine.

Opal Chinese Cuisine creates an experience best suited for the senses. The restaurant, open daily for dinner, starts with the best of local and international ingredients. Opal’s essence is captured in the symbolism of the dragonfly, associated in China with change, strength and tranquility. Like the dragonfly, Opal is changing the landscape of the restaurant offerings in San Gabriel and Manager Thomas Yeung is ready to welcome guests to an experience in Chinese cuisine that will not soon be forgotten.

The menu reflects the tradition of Canton, the provincial capital in the south of China, famously known around the world for their unrivaled style of cuisine. Elegant dishes include wildflower honey-glazed barbecue Pork, rare Abalone offered at market price, and Signature Peking Duck, air-dried in a special oven and served with traditional accompaniments of mandarin crepes, scallion and sweet hoisin sauce. At the height of sophistication, Opal features hard-to-find Birds Nest Soup, the Chinese delicacy known as the “Caviar of the East”, which guests must reserve 24 hours in advance to order.

Located off the hotel lobby, guests find themselves enraptured by polished white marble, plush seating and beautiful art pieces from China.  In addition, Opal’s beverage list boasts a refined collection of Pu Er and floral teas alongside a wine and spirits list sourced from around the world.

“Bringing a restaurant of this level of accommodation and service is a huge area of opportunity for the San Gabriel Valley,” said Wanda Chan, general manager. “With its affluence, rapid economic growth and cosmopolitan international flavors, our associates are proud to be part of and to serve this community and will work hard to be the prestigious lodging, dining and meeting destination in the area.”

Opal joins the new Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel hotel, which opened in February and was recently named a AAA Four-Diamond hotel. The hotel features 288 elegantly appointed rooms and suites, well-regarded EST. Prime Steakhouse and Bar, with top-quality, imported steaks and impeccable seafood, 24-hour fitness center with yoga space and Sheraton Club Lounge for the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) frequent, loyal traveler. With unparalleled service, elegant dining, cutting-edge technology and resort-style amenities, the hotel provides a heightened level of luxury never before seen in the international business hub of San Gabriel Valley, located just east of downtown Los Angeles.
