Stacks Pancake House just opened at Walnut Village Center. The popular OC restaurant serves island-style breakfasts and lunches, with signature staples including Captain Mac Nut French Toast, slices of King’s Hawaiian bread dipped in batter and crusted in crispy Cap’N Crunch cereal and macadamia nuts; Kalua Pork Benedict, and Loco Moco, the Aloha State’s famous comfort food dish of rice topped with a hamburger patty, fried egg and gravy.
Of course, the restaurant isn’t named Stacks Pancake House without reason – there are more than 11 kinds of pancakes on the menu, including Macadamia Banana Pancakes, Coconut Pineapple, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip and Oreo Cookie – along with weekly-changing and seasonal pancakes such as Blueberry Ricotta, Orange Marmalade Coconut, Snickers, Rocky Road and Red Velvet.
For lunch, diners can find a blend of Asian fusion fare and American favorites, from a Chicken Katsu Salad and Chicken Teriyaki to Turkey Avocado Melts and burgers. Lunch specials consist of Pineapple Chicken, Hawaiian Chopped Steak, Yakisoba Chicken and Bo Luc Lac, the Vietnamese-French-style filet mignon.
