Orange County restaurant, Tapas Restaurant & Nightclub, featuring award-winning, authentic Spanish cuisine along with live Flamenco shows and Salsa dancing, just opened with restricted hours at Kaleidoscope in December 2017. Tapas is relocating to the Mission Viejo dining and entertainment center from Newport Beach, where it has been located since opening 18 years ago.
Tapas will feature complimentary entertainment throughout the week, including live music, Flamenco performances, Salsa dancing and lessons. The 6,500 square foot restaurant will serve happy hour on weekdays, dinner nightly, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
The menu will offers Spanish dishes such as an array of tapas, perfect for enjoying before or after attending the movies at Edwards Kaleidoscope Stadium 10, along with Gazpacho (cold fresh vegetable soup) and Fabada (white bean soup with pork and chorizo), and salads including Espinacas a la Catalana (sautéed spinach, toasted pine nuts and raisins), Mediterranean (mixed greens with artichoke hearts, black olives, roasted peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, garbanzo beans and vinaigrette dressing), and more.
Entrees at Tapas include Seafood and Vegetarian Paella; Pork a la Manzana (thinly sliced pork loin topped sautéed green apples, in port wine sauce), Chicken Andalucia (baked chicken breast topped with a pear sauce), Snapper Madrid (fresh baker snapper topped with a tomato cream sauce fresh herbs, and black olives), Skirt Steak (Moorish spices topped with a shallot butter), Salmon Basque (9oz. grilled salmon topped with dill sauce), Pasta Barcelona (Spanish jamon, garlic, asparagus and fresh herbs tossed with angel hair pasta in a cream sauce), and other selections.
Located on the Plaza Level of Kaleidoscope, Tapas will have a spacious room for private parties, and a large patio for al fresco dining. The restaurant will also offer full-service catering with performers.
