Trejo’s Tacos has opened its newest location in April 2019, at the iconic Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles. The colorful and art-filled taqueria is a natural fit for the historic location; with both brands having deep, local roots. The newest Trejo’s Tacos draws its design inspiration from Mexico’s beach taquerias and will embody everything that makes Trejo’s Tacos refreshingly unexpected and exclusively LA.
With an abundance of fresh produce and ingredients found right in the Market itself, the restaurant’s menu will combine popular items like the fried chicken taco and jackfruit burrito, but also introduce new offerings such as the al pastor tacos that will be roasted on a spit.
“I’ve been coming to The Original Farmers Market since I was a kid, and as an adult I have fond memories hanging out with my best friend, Eddie Bunker. We would walk around and try all the fresh food from the different businesses,” said founder, Danny Trejo. “Now, having my own restaurant at such an iconic location makes me pinch myself. This is a dream!”
“Trejo’s Tacos has become an integral part of the city’s DNA and we look forward to welcoming this innovative brand to The Original Farmers Market family,” said Michael Hilty, Farmers Market Manager.
Trejo’s Tacos at The Original Farmers Market will be open everyday from 9 am – 9 pm serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Offerings will include tacos, burritos, salads, vegan and vegetarian specialties and aguas frescas.
