The 2nd Annual Handcrafted Hospitality: Dine with a Purpose Fall fundraising event is scheduled for Friday, October 20th, representatives from Cal State Long Beach announced today. The event will be held from 6 – 10 p.m. at The Chartroom Restaurant located on the CSULB campus at 1250 Bellflower Blvd. in Long Beach.

This very unique event is presented by students in the CSULB Hospitality Management Program and brings together industry partners, students and faculty in the program, university administrators, and culinary and craft beer aficionados to enjoy a multi-course beer-pairing dinner featuring various craft beers and local chefs. Live entertainment will also be featured. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the CSULB Hospitality Management Program.

Restaurant courses will be provided by Lucille’s BBQ, BO-beau Kitchen + Roof Tap, and Naples Rib Company, to name a few. Some of the brewers sponsoring the event include Beachwood BBQ, El Segundo Brewery, Evan’s Brewing Co., and BJ’s Restaurant and Brewery.

“Our annual Handcrafted Hospitality event provides students in our program the opportunity to showcase their skills at managing events in the hospitality industry,” said Dr. Lee Blecher, CSULB School of Hospitality Management program director and professor. “Craft beer and food pairings being one of the most popular culinary trends right now, we invite Long Beach food lovers to join us for an evening of great food, beer and entertainment.”

Tickets are $175 per guest or $1500 to purchase a table of ten and are available for advance purchase through the CSULB website. Tickets are limited and expected to sell out quickly. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
