Chef Janine Falvo
Executive Chef Janine Falvo will command The Mayor’s Table kitchen at the soon-to-open Lido House, where she’ll execute a menu of responsibly sourced and sustainably caught seafood, local produce, fine organic meats, artisanal cheeses and more. Falvo brings more than 15 years of fine-dining finesse and farm-fresh passion to the role, having begun her career in 2001 by sharpening her knife under Chef Bradley Ogden at Parcel 104 in Santa Clara, California. She quickly worked her way up the ranks, earning experience as chef de cuisine at Carneros Bistro & Wine Bar in Sonoma, California, then as executive chef at the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown/Briza in Atlanta, Georgia. She returned to California in in 2014 as executive chef of the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel. As part of a “pop-up” series at the restaurant, Janine delighted in highlighting sustainable local seafood via the “Ocean-to-Fork” concept. Falvo’s culinary savvy has earned her recognition as Restaurant Hospitality’s Rising Star Chef in 2007.
She was also selected to represent Sonoma in a dinner at the revered James Beard House in New York City, and appeared as a ‘cheftestant’ on the ninth season of Bravo TV’s Emmy award
winning series “Top Chef.” Her television success continued in fall of 2015, when she competed on Food Network’s, “Cutthroat Kitchen.”
