Chef Takashi Sada

Born and raised in Osaka, Japan, Takashi Sada relocated to Los Angeles and so began his career in restaurants. In 2002, Sada opened Japonica (Redondo Beach) as owner and operator. He’s spent years studying Sake, and is known locally as a pioneer in Japanese dining in L.A. His newest venture, Tokyo Guild, will serve as a Japanese tavern with two location in Los Angeles, Culver City and Bixby Knolls, respectively. Tokyo Guild pays homage to the thriving, inventive culture of Japanese street food, giving Sada a platform to bring lesser-known offerings to Southern California. Sada is inspired by Japanese punk musicians and artists, which will integrate into the décor and ambiance of both locations.
