Who’s ready for some fun along Long Beach’s waterfront – with wine or beer in-hand at WineFest? US, that’s who. So we’re heading to LAWineFest October 2-3 for two days of wine tasting and fun on the waterfront, benefiting the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club and the Los Angeles Jazz Society.
The 15th annual LAWineFest features more than 40 award-winning wineries, craft breweries (and other fun drinks), in a fun, relaxed and safe space to explore new wines with friends. There will be wines from around the globe, but also those with roots in Southern California Long Beach, including the Long Beach’s only local winery, Waters Edge Winery, as well as Snoop Dogg’s 19 Crimes. Come to chat up winemakers and sommeliers, while sipping their goods, and stay for the live music by Gregg Young & The 2nd Street Band and multi-platinum artist and Aussie X-Factor star, Nathaniel Willemse. Take a break from wine and beer tasting to sip coffee by Able Coffee Roasters, rehydrate with Perfect Hydration, and experience cuisine from gourmet food trucks while shopping for handcrafted artisan goods from artisan boutiques. (Pro tip: Book a room at the waterfront luxe resort, Hotel Maya, which is walking distance from LAWineFest!)
Admission includes a souvenir wine cup, unlimited wine/beer tastings, bottled water, and coffee. WineFest hours are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
