BEER BRUNCH with PLINY THE YOUNGER

All of us Craft Beer Enthusiasts rejoice when Russian River Brewing Co. releases Pliny the Younger once every year.

This VERY limited distribution beer is only available at select locations — and this year, we are very excited to announce that Haven Gastropub in Orange will, once again, feature Pliny the Younger.

OnSunday, February 22nd at9 AM,it will be available both by itself, or with a flight of other Russian River beers to go with our brunch menu (yes, we serve breakfast/brunch at 9 AM every weekend, if you didn’t know).

You’ll be able to get a 5oz pour of Pliny the Younger, Pliny the Elder, Blind Pig, and Row 2, Hill 56 from Russian River Brewing in a tasting flight. Pliny the Younger will be limited to one per person. As with every weekend Beer Brunch, we will still have the $3 craft beer on tap as well from 9-11 AM.

Pliny the Younger will be poured on a first come, first served basis. If there is a line, we will give tickets to the line just before 9 a.m. for purchase of PTY.

Pliny the Younger, the man, was Pliny the Elder’s nephew and adopted son. They lived nearly 2,000 years ago! Pliny the Elder is Russian River’s Double IPA, so they felt it was fitting to name their Triple IPA after his son. It is almost a true Triple IPA with triple the amount of hops as a regular IPA. That said, it is extremely difficult, time and space consuming, and very expensive to make. And that is why they don’t make it more often! This beer is very full-bodied with tons of hop character in the nose and throughout. It is also deceptively well-balanced and smooth. Need a taste? We’ll see you on February 22nd.
