Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Woodland Hills will welcome Alex Guarachi from Guarachi Family Wines on Thursday, May 9th beginning at 6:30 p.m. for a delicious four-course dinner paired with Guarachi’s Californian wines. Fleming’s Chef Partner Jay Cruz has created a top-tier menu, of which each course will be complemented for superb flavoring with a specific hand-selected Guarachi Family Wine.

Guests will begin their meals with Scallops Wrapped in Lardo, served alongside a Butter Bean Puree, and garnished in Wilted Escarole and Pistachio. The dish will be paired with the rich flavors of succulent pear, ripe apple, hazelnuts, brioche, and a dollop of creamy, European butter, all tasted in Guarachi Family Wines, Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast, 2010. The second course will be served with Guarachi Family Wines, Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast, 2010 and 2011, and will consist of Roasted Lamb Chops, with a side of Vanilla Scented Turnip Puree, Blueberry compote and Mustard Sauce. Next will be Cruz’s piece de resistance: the Braised Boneless Short Ribs and Porcini Couscous. This bold dish will be coupled with the complex, dense and well-balanced Guarachi Family Wines, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2008 and 2010, so your palate will be refreshed after each bite. Lastly, guests will sip on Purple Angel, a Carmenere/Petit Verdot Blend from Montes winery in Chile, which will be complimented by a Warm Chocolate Espresso Tortino with Mascarpone Whipped Cream.
