Diwali, also known as the “festival of lights,”
is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated in autumn every year.
This year, it falls on Sunday, October 30th and it spiritually
signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair!

Festivities often include sparklers and variety of fireworks. The fireworks signify celebration of Diwali as well a way to chase away evil spirits. After fireworks, friends and family gather together to enjoy a feast and special mithai or desserts!
