ANAHEIM WHITE HOUSE CELEBRATES 29TH ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING ON SNOW-FILLED GROUNDS WITH MASSIVE TREE, FORMAL DINNER, CAST OF HOLIDAY CHARACTERS & TOY DRIVE FOR MOTEL KIDS
You can count on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman too. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a holiday party without an appearance by Santa Claus. This cast of characters will be among the VIPs who will be attending the Anaheim White House’s 29th annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Dinner on Sunday, November 20. The festivities start at 6 p.m. when guests will be greeted with Champagne and tray-passed hors d’oeuvres as they roam around the restaurant’s festively decorated, snow-filled grounds. The tree lighting will be held at 7 p.m. followed by a 4-course sit-down dinner. Cost is $135 per person and tables for 10 are also available. Reservations must be made no later than Saturday, November 12 by calling (714) 772-1381.
Guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy that will be donated to the underprivileged served by Caterina’s Club, the internationally recognized nonprofit that feeds and houses local “motel kids,” thus named because their poor, working class parents are relegated to cheap, crime-ridden motels. In keeping with tradition, 8 honorees will be recognized by Caterina’s Club for their exceptional support: Sally Feldhaus, Susan Klaren-Hatzenbuler, Cathy Dutton, Becky Areias, Andrea Manes, Pennie Contos, Pat Pina and Reon Boydstun-Howard.
