DISCOVER DIWALI! Celebratory Foods to Help You Prepare for the Holiday on October 19th.
Adya invites you to join them for a very special Diwali Cooking Class. Diwali, the festival of lights is a joyous, vibrant and beautiful celebration. Food plays a large part, and Chef Shachi Mehra will teach the class how to prepare festive dishes at home for the holiday. Join them Saturday, October 14th at 11 a.m. for an interactive cooking class.
Guests can look forward to tasting and learning the step-by-step preparation of the following dishes:
Namkeen Chiwda
a savory snack of pressed rice, peanuts, and curry leaves
Tapioca Potato Tikki
crispy patties with tapioca pearls, potato, and ginger
Chicken Biryani
a layered rice dish with saffron, cilantro, and spices
Cucumber Raita
cucumber cilantro yogurt
Homemade Jalebi
a traditional Diwali sweet – crisp spirals soaked in saffron sugar syrup
Held outside on Adya’s private boxcar patio in Anaheim, these culinary demos are $35 per guest (unless otherwise noted) and includes easy-to-follow recipes to take home with you, culinary secrets from Chef Shachi and of course, lunch served with wine/beer or chai. Class availability is limited.
