To commemorate California brasserie Terrine‘s first Bastille Day, Chef/Owner Kris Morningstar and his partners, Frenchmen Stephane Bombet and François Renaud, welcome renowned Michelin-starred chef Dominique Crenn for a limited engagement guest chef dinner on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. The joint menu will offer guests the first sneak preview of Crenn’s buzzworthy San Francisco restaurant Petit Crenn, a neighborhood tribute to the food she cooked during her childhood in Brittany, set to open this year. To complement Crenn and Morningstar’s menu, Head Bartender Ryan Wainwright will also craft a number of classic French cocktails centered on cider and calvados.
For $65 (plus tax/gratuity), Bastille Day patrons will indulge in a seven-course menu collaboration by Morningstar and Crenn, including a traditional mid-meal Trou Normand-a glass of calvados-with apple sorbet prior to the final entrée to make room for the next course. The menu will include:
Potato Leek Soup (Chef Morningstar)
Baked Oysters with tomato gelée and sundried tomatoes (Chef Crenn)
Rabbit Galantine with warm grape salad (Chef Morningstar)
Salmon en Croute – puff pastry, asparagus, and leek vinaigrette (Chef Crenn)
Trou Normand – apple sorbet and calvados (Chef Morningstar)
Duck Magret with peaches (Chef Morningstar)
Tarte Tatin (Chef Morningstar)
