Farewell Dinner

On June 30^th, Darren’s Restaurant, the beloved Manhattan Beach fine-dining destination, will temporarily close its doors as it prepares to re-launch later this year with a new look, feel, and approach. The new Darren’s will reopen on July 11^th, and feature a renovated interior, a newly reimagined menu, and more ways to enjoy the restaurant’s globally inspired and locally sourced cuisine.

To celebrate the start of a new chapter for the restaurant, and send off the original menu in style, Darren’s Restaurant invites guests to a “Farewell Dinner” on June 25^thwhich will feature classic dishes from the principal menu. This will be the last chance to enjoy much of the original menu as the restaurant makes room for Chef/Owner Darren Weiss’ newest culinary creations.

The $49.99, three-course pre-set menu will be available on Wednesday June 25^th, and reflect Darren’s extensive culinary expedition. Guests will select from classic appetizers like the Ahi Poki, Parmesan Baked Potato Gnocchi, or the Cabra El Vino Arugula Salad. Starters will be followed by entrees such as the Jidori Boneless Half Chicken, the wildly popular Steak and Eggs, or the delicious Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna. To end on a sweet note, dessert will feature a choice of the Berry Crumble or the White Chocolate Napoleon. A celebratory glass of bubbly will be included with the menu, and suggested wine pairings by-the-glass will also be available for an additional cost.

The new menu will contain a few of the old favorites-but as to which dishes made the cut, Chef Darren isn’t ready to share that just yet.
