Fashion Island of Misfit Toys

“Fashion Island of Misfit Toys,” this year’s annual gingerbread display creation, takes its theme and inspiration from the classic movie, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and from the hotel’s ideal proximity to shopping mecca Fashion Island. Holiday Gingerbread will be on display all through December 1 to 29 and cider and cookies will be served on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 4pm.

Pastry Chef Andy de la Cruz will feature characters such as Santa Claus, Yukon Cornelius, Hermey the Elf, as well as toys from the Island of Misfit Toys – all cleverly concocted from holiday confectionary elements. This sweet, one-of-a-kind display will also give a not-so-subtle nod to high-end fashion with designer bags, boxes and accessories. Hot apple cider and cookies will be served on weekends. Guests are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys for the annual Toys for Tots drive.
