Dads will be lining up for seconds at the savory barbecue spread and complimentary local beer tastings during Fuego’s Father’s Day Barbecue and Beer Bash at Hotel Maya on Sunday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fuego will also present live Latin music along with family-friendly games all at the water’s edge.

Fuego, the modern, Latin infused indoor-outdoor restaurant and lounge, offers a unique seaside setting featuring 13-foot-tall glass walls that fully retract with seating inside and on the patio area. Fuego’s stunning open-air views include the Pacific Ocean, Long Beach skyline and Queen Mary.

For Father’s Day Barbecue, Executive Chef Victor Juarez has prepared a delicious meal that begins with a sensational selection of Salads featuring Mixed Green Salads and assorted dressings; Maine Lobster, Macaroni Salad, Potato Salad; Brussels Sprouts with bacon, red onion and sweet soy dressing; Spring Kale and Berry Salad with broken raspberry vinaigrette; and Roasted Beet Salad with pepper escabeche, pepitas and goat cheese.

Platters and Displays include Antipasto with roasted vegetables, olives and artichokes; Smoked Salmon with mini bagels, cream cheese and traditional condiments; Chilled Seafood including jumbo gulf shrimp, Alaskan king crab legs and fresh-shucked oysters, along with horseradish cocktail sauce and shallot vinaigrette; Ceviche featuring Mahi-Mahi, Steamed Shrimp and Hojas de Sea Bass; as well as Imported and Domestic Cheeses and Charcuterie Station, Fresh Fruit, Melon and Seasonal Berries and Heirloom Tomatoes and Buffalo Mozzarella.

Fuego’s Father’s Day Taco Station offers Cilantro Jalapeno Grilled Skirt Steak, Tequila Lime Chicken and Mahi-Mahi, along with fresh homemade salsas, mango pico de gallo and avocado cilantro sauce.

A specialty Omelets and Waffles Station includes Omelets and Eggs made to order with the choice of meats and vegetables. Fuego’s sweet or savory serves up Waffles and Country Fried Chicken with bourbon maple syrup, dulce de leche, cinnamon whipped cream and grand marnier infused wild berries.

On the Fuego Holiday Grill is Grilled New York Steak with red chimichurri, pepper escabeche and cotija; Baby Back Ribs with Jack Daniel’s barbecue sauce; Grilled Mahi-Mahi with lemon caper butter sauce;Slow Roasted Whole Chicken; Texan Beef Chili and Jalapeño Corn Bread; along with Roasted Cauliflower with Za’atar; and Elote Callejero aka Mexican street corn.
